My name is Helen Coronato and I am a professional author who has written four books, numerous articles and countless published pieces – and have been paid to do so!

My success as an author has inspired the creation of THE WEEKEND PUBLICIST – a Self Promotion Site where entrepreneurs, authors and small business owners learn how to EFFECTIVELY MONETIZE their services and products using killer content, consistent marketing messages and personalized branding.
Imagine planning, publicizing and profiting from a speaking engagement where the audience waits for baited breath for you – the author – to talk, teach and inspire!
Imagine sharing your must-have message with paying clients who easily choose you over the competition – since you’re the one with the book!
Imagine making money by writing your book… and then making MORE money with programs based on your book’s material. Recurring revenue programs mean you do the work once but make money over and over again!

When most people think of publishing, they immediately think of picking up the New York Times to find their book listed under Bestsellers or headlining their own sold out sixty-city book signing tour. At first glance, those things sound great. But a funny thing happens on the way to fame and fortune…actual writing. And perhaps ever more importantly for authors who want to have a sustainable career in publishing…business planning.
That’s right, business planning. If I can impart any gem of experience to you it is this: PUBLISHING IS A BUSINESS. A business complete with its own lingo, pecking order, code of conduct, ethics, standards and “gold medals”. My mission in creating this product is to teach you the ins and outs of one of the most competitive and highly coveted professions in the world.
I cannot guarantee you success; no one can. But I can guarantee you that the information, templates, sources and strategies outlined are updated, accurate and the current professional standard. By following this publishing blueprint you will have the tools needed to research and outline your ideas and deliver it in a non-fiction book proposal to the appropriate agent. All while looking like a person who “gets” the business*.
*I have chosen to focus on non-fiction book proposals as this is my genre – having had four books traditionally published in the past four years. If you want to self publish, there are several online coaches and programs to help you, and I wish you all the best.

I can now call myself an author!
Helen Coronato’s “How to Sell Your Book” was the perfect tool to provide this novice author with a framework for going about the process of getting a book published. I found the writing exercises to be invaluable in teaching me how to think about the message I wanted to convey to my audience. Her breakdown of the proposal pieces was clear, easy to understand and gave me a sense of structure that helped greatly in organizing my thoughts and staying on message. While giving me pointers on what to do, some of the book’s most helpful suggestions came from Helen’s insight into what not to do.
The exercises gave me a feel for how ideas in the head can be transformed into concise words on the page. She also gave me the space and encouragement to find my own words and writing style and I am a much better writer now because of it. Helen Coronato gave me the tools and confidence I needed to get me over the fear of writing and begin calling myself an author.
